Blog on Vacation - ALOHA!

It had been my sincere intent to write and schedule posts while I'm off basking in the beautiful Hawaiian sun ... but alas ... my to-do list became too long, and I did not accomplish everything.

So, while I'm gone for a week ... enjoy these pretty pictures:

How about you?

Have you been to Hawaii? What was your favorite thing about it?

  1. Gosh, I wish. No, I've never visited HI, but I'd love to one day. Have a great time.

  2. Beautiful pictures - and each picture paints 1000 words, so you are way ahead on your blogging! I've only been to Kauai, and that was lovely. We REALLY enjoyed the coffee estate there!

  3. I went to Oahu on my Honeymoon! Snorkling in Hanauma Bay was my favorite. I want to live by that bay! I'd love to go back to Hawaii and see the other islands.

    Have a wonderful time, Margo!!

  4. I almost made it there with my older kids. We got on the plane. Something critical like the radar was broken, so they asked us to get off the plane while the mechanic pressed the restart button. We waited several hours to get on a new one. Many hours later, they fixed the broken one. No, wait, broke again. We went home. After about five hours on the phone, we got our money back.

Vacation is by definition a time for no work of any kind, not even the blogging kind. Relax and enjoy. :)

  7. Wow -- beautiful!

Never been, but would absolutely love to.

The closest thing, although it's nowhere close except maybe in latitude and sandy-beach-ish-ness, was a wonderful honeymoon in Aruba almost 12 years ago. No lush Hawaii-like gardens though (cacti in places!).

  10. I hope you have a great, relaxing time!!

I used to live on Oahu (and have been to almost all the other islands--I know, I was totally spoiled--my dad was a captain for Hawaiian Airlines). What I miss most is the beach and the waves. sigh. I once grabbed onto the shell of a wild sea turtle and took a ride. It was amazing.

  13. You know, I have been to Hawaii. But it was a long time ago and I was very young. So I wish I remembered more of it. But, I hope you have a great time!

  15. There are so many things I like about Hawaii- the turquoise water, the beaches, conversing with the locals, etc. So many possibilities for literary inspiration!
