Crazy Busy Life
Whew. The last thirty days have been a bit of a whirlwind! We traveled to Hawaii, saw our daughter graduate from college with her bachelor's degree, spent time with family and friends, flew back to Idaho, celebrated our daughter getting engaged to the guy of her dreams, ate a ton of turkey with more family, and played and played and played.
Here are a few fun pictures from our many recent adventures:

Going Off-Grid
I am so addicted to the Internet! However, I absolutely love going camping, and when we go camping, we retreat to the boonies. We dig our own latrine, we let the dogs run free, and we stick our toes in the river. It's awesome. It's beautiful. It's calming. And when we return to civilization, my phone goes nuts downloading all of the messages, emails, and updates I've *missed* during our vacation.
What about you? Do you ever unplug from the grid and go off-line for a while?
Have a great day ... I'm heading for the hills.

Off to VB Camp
I'm heading out to take my daughter to another volleyball camp (she LOVES it) ... but in another state this time (new experience).
So ... I'll be off the internet for a week. Will I survive? I dunno. Maybe I'll take my laptop just in case there's wifi. Or maybe I could simply use a break from technology?
I vote for a break. I'm taking plenty of books to read, including:
So while my daughter is doing more of this:

Blog on Vacation - ALOHA!
It had been my sincere intent to write and schedule posts while I'm off basking in the beautiful Hawaiian sun ... but alas ... my to-do list became too long, and I did not accomplish everything.
So, while I'm gone for a week ... enjoy these pretty pictures:
How about you?
Have you been to Hawaii? What was your favorite thing about it?

What's COOL about Rexburg, Idaho?
Seriously ...
We had a blast exploring Rexburg on Monday. And here's a couple of things we thought were super COOL ...
Our Hotel:
Springhill Suites by Marriott
The lobby is crazy:
The rooms are crazy COOL:
They had a great salad bar, pasta bar, and pizza buffet. The pizzas were fresh and delicious, and they had a huge variety to choose from. My husband's favorite was the Alfredo pizza; mine was the Ranch pizza; my son loved the pasta bar. Uh. Yum.

We also found an AWESOME pizza place (yeah, yeah, I know ... Flat Belly Diet ... well, we ate pizza).

Oh sure ... there are other cool things about Rexburg, like BYU-Idaho campus, the LDS Temple, and the three (seriously - - only three) Redbox locations.
But, what's NOT COOL about Rexburg? The Rexburg Walmart. YIKES!! Just. Don't. Go. There.
Tuesday, we decided (spur of the moment thing) to go to Yellowstone. Unprepared. No camera. No suncreen. Hmm. But we had a GREAT time. Saw tons of wildlife. Saw tons of crazy people jumping out of their cars in the middle of the road so they could get a closer picture of the noisy bear. Great idea. For so many reasons. Also saw people dipping their fingers into the hot water, right next to the sign that said, "Do not touch water. Dangerous. Boiling."
People.
:)
