So much to do, to do, to do!

I would be perfectly happy writing all day long.

But for some reason dust, laundry, dishes, bills, and other annoying little things tend to accumulate.

So, what's a writer to do? I suppose I could hire a maid, a cook, an accountant, and a personal assistant, but I should probably sell a book first.

HA.  So, logically, I should write all day so that I can sell the book so that I can hire those assistants so that I can write more... right?

  1. I write all morning and then clean all afternoon! Now that I have a job I'm clueless as to what I'll do, haha. I have a husband but he can't write or clean. ;)

  2. Chantal, funny about the husband. Same with mine! For a week, now, I've been determined to get up and write at least 2000 words before doing anything else (goal is to finish the words before 9am). It's been working so far. For me, it seems like the phone and distractions start at 9am. So, focused writing has to happen before then. Any writing/editing I get done after that is frosting.

For you... can you write during your lunch hour?

  3. I am the same way when it comes to my imminent success. After getting out of my debt (mortgage, credit card bills, car payments)I promised myself I would hire a housekeeper to swing by once a week.

A girl can dream, can't she?

  4. Of course a girl can dream... especially when she's a writer! I think that's what we do: dream all day. Writing is merely putting those dreams and ideas down on paper. :)
