Book Review: SMOKIN' SEVENTEEN by Janet Evanovich

Smokin' Seventeen: A Stephanie Plum NovelSmokin' Seventeen: A Stephanie Plum Novel by Janet Evanovich

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I procrastinated writing a review for this book because ... as much as I love the Stephanie Plum novels ... I was disappointed with the characters in this book. Plus, with the last several books, I've felt like the font got bigger and the pages were less ... still I was at a loss for words to describe this book.

Then I stumbled upon an AWESOME review of this book:

Read it, and you'll know how I feel about this book. Bummer!

  2. i read the review and wow I would hang my head in shame (if I were the author of those books). It wasn't a bashing session. She summerized what many have been feeling and bravo for her! I hope the Author or publishing house reads that post.

  3. I too have felt this way over the last few books. However, I actually did enjoy Seventeen and had quite a few LOL moments. I've had a lot of stress lately so maybe I just needed some mindless entertainment!

P.S. I figured out the ending by the middle.

  4. anet Evanovich has done it again with Smokin' Seventeen! Just as she has done in the past, you are led to the edge, then left hanging for MORE, with a cliff hanger that touts the new follow-up book coming in November! She is maddeningly tantilizing like Chocolate Truffles with hot, rich coffee! Just one more bite! You can never get enough.
