Men and Their Poop

What is it with men and poop?

Seriously.

Why do they like to talk about it so much?

Our family was watching the t.v. show "Out of the Wild" on Netflix (great show, btw), and the guys started discussing their poops. My daughter and I grimaced while my son busted out laughing.

Sometimes my boys will make random announcements like:

"If you need me, I'll be on the pudding cup."
"I'm going to go cut some logs."

... GROSS! ...

I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THAT!

My husband said to me this morning, "I'd really like to tell you a story but I don't think you'll appreciate it."

I asked, "Does it deal with bodily functions and the bathroom?"

"Yes."

"I don't want to know."

"But I'd really like to tell you, and Jacob thought it was funny, and my coworkers thought it was funny."

"NO!"

... He told me anyhow. ...

YUCK!

Do the men in your life talk about their bodily functions? Or if you are a man: WHY?

And ... don't ask me to pull your finger. It's dumb and GROSS!

  2. I guess in this respect, I'm lucky. My husband doesn't think poop is funny.

  3. Oh yes. I don't get it. Like the time I got a DVD of Step Brother (Will Ferrell) for Christmas and watched it, didn't get it while all the Y chromosomes were laughing so hard they were crying. Kinda like that.

  4. Boys are always interested in farting and pooping. Who knows why? It is a bit strange.

  5. I hate to tell you, it's not just guys. I find toilet humour hilarious, as do a lot of my friends. I don't know why I find it funny, I just do! (never grew up I guess)

  7. Having been raised with 7 brothers,I'm used to it. Like Angeline says, sometimes I also participate. I still laugh when I watch Naked Gun and the baseball clip with all the spitting, crotch grabbing etc. Oh The Naked Gun - Toilet Scene. Cracks me up.

Hmm, does this make me an unnatural woman?

  8. Lololol! I agree, why do they like to talk about it? I had a girlfriend like this once that was a total tomboy and the same exact way. Ugh. :-)

  9. You're so right! What is it with boys (Yes, boys. I think men are a myth, hahaha. Boys don't really seem to grow up.) and bodily functions?? It never ceases to amuse them. It must have to do with something totally weird in their brains, LoL.

  11. Never understood the discussion of poo statistics between guys either. I can laugh at the gassy bit of it, but not the describing poo bit of it. I just think it's really disgusting. In fact, I wonder if they do it to gross people out on purpose.

  12. Aren't they hilarious? (YUK). My husband always announces to the world that he's "Going for a dump" and then fills us in on his return with something like "It never touched the sides" or "That was so big it called me Daddy." WHY DO WE WANT TO KNOW??? Great post! :-)

  15. I don't understand why they think we're so interested in hearing about what we know they just did... we know where they just were and that they took more than the time it takes to go #1. SO gross! I want to know why!
