I totally agree with you.
Haha! Too funny! I completely agree. Happy Monday. ☺
I do as well! I can't stand and incomplete list. :)
I'm with you. I really wonder why the poor little comma was considered so pesky that it had to be gotten rid of. I still do it, and then have to take it out later. And it never looks/sounds/seems right.
Love it. And I still use it, too.
I still use it too.
One can really see how well grammar was learned by looking at the blogs that people produce.I am always unsure about usage of the parentheses as opposed to dashes in my writing?I like, your blog.
Ba-hahahaha! Love it!
REMEMBER THAT COMMA?"Did I tell you about Flaubert when he was writing 'Madame Bovary?' He met a friend and the friend asked him what he had done all afternoon. Flaubert answered, 'You remember that comma I was confused about? I took it out.' He met the man later in the evening and the man asked him what he had done the rest of the day. Flaubert said, 'I put that comma back in.' Sometimes all I do is take something out, then put it back in until it's right. It has to be right."
I always have trouble deciding whether I am going to use that comma, or not. Sometimes the sentence just doesn’t work for me without it. I love this post, and would use it repeatedly if I were teaching creative writing or an english class! Elizabeth Rising Early, 31 Days
I use it in fiction writing. In journalism it's dropped, though.
I used to struggle with that! Funny picture, by the way! :D
Thank you! I will remember this picture whenever I'm thinking, "Comma? No comma?" Love it!Karen
Hehe that's so cute! The toast and orange juice are participating :)
I go back and forth in my mind (and writing) debating that extra little comma, you might have persuaded me to end my internal debate and just use it.
Yep, I love me an Oxford comma :)
