First day - dogs are still clean
View from the hammock
River after a night of thunder storms
Black Sabbath and Rascal Flats - yes, that's right
Beautiful blue skies of Idaho
Such a flattering picture of me ... not! But after a freezing cold night, we thought it would be best to stay in our warm beds and read awhile. Notice that Sabbath (the dog) is doing his part to keep my daughter warm.
Last day. Last fire. Sun is shining. Time to head home to a flushing toilet. :)
Beautiful pics! And I love your dog names, Margo. :D
ReplyDeleteLove your pics! I love camping, especially when you have such a beautiful backdrop like this one.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a whole lot of fun.
Gorgeous pictures! Makes me pine for the camping I did last year in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming, though we just had bags on mats. So. Much. Fun. Glad you all had a great trip!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful - the stuff of happy memories!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. In the first one, at first glance I thought you had a black bear in the camp.
ReplyDeleteCan't beat a flushing toilet! I'm not a fan of camping, but if you have good equipment it can be fun!

Love the pictures! I thought the dog was a bear too at first glance :). So beautiful there, made me sigh in a wish-I-was-there mood!
ReplyDeleteWonderful scenery! Great memories! Camping is good for the soul, but nice to come home!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! I want to know where you went though, email me if you don't want to say here.
ReplyDeleteIt's near Grand Jean - which is north of Lowman. We drive up I55 to Banks, turn right on the Banks-Lowman road, and then left at Lowman. Right at the Grand Jean sign, and then we take the first right (dirt roads) ... and then it gets twisty in there ... there are several designated areas where you can camp (no outhouses or water facilities). There's an actual campground if you drive clear into Grand Jean, but my husband doesn't like campgrounds. :) How are you guys doing? Miss you!
DeleteIt's beautiful! Thanks for the info. We are doing great. I'll update my blog soon.
DeleteHa. Our black dog is HUGE, and so, yes, at first glance he looks like a bear! We rescued him from a shelter, but they told us he is predominately GOLDEN RETRIEVER - which is evident in his feathery tail and the shape of the top of his head. However, as he as aged, it's become quite clear that he has New Foundland (sp?) in him: his body shape and his coat.
ReplyDeleteThese pics make me want to escape into the great outdoors too! And your dog names are hilarious. Love them! :)
