Quotes

"It is not enough for the hero to triumph, he must change the world." -- Blake Snyder, SAVE THE CAT

"Cracking the door open for teenage drama doesn't mean throwing that door wide for sterotypical characters or hokey dialogue that over-emotes to make up for a flat plot." -- Deborah Halverson, WRITING YOUNG ADULT FICTION FOR DUMMIES

Do you have a writing quote to share?

  3. I'm reading Save the Cat! right now. So many novelists were recommending it last year and I finally got around to reading it. It's great so far and can definitely be applied super well for novelists!

I have a million favorite quotes on writing, as you might know from my weekly quote posts, LoL. Here's one from yesterday's persistence quotes that I love:

"The bottom line is not how fast you make your dream come true, but how steadily you pursue it." ~Sarah Ban Breathnach

  5. Well, I already shared this one today, but it's a classic so here goes. "Writing should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep it interesting." :) Thanks to my old English prof for that one!
